New chapters of the flagship serial release roughly twice a month, with anthology stories and extras added on a rolling basis.

By subscribing to Story Club, you agree to the following terms.

1. The product. This is a digital subscription to original fiction published by VoodooChild, including our flagship serial, an exclusive anthology of stories from writers across Africa and around the world, and supporting content such as world-building material and audio versions. No physical goods are shipped or included as part of this subscription. Access is provided online through the VoodooChild website and, where applicable, through our Substack publication.
2. Billing. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis at the rate shown at checkout. Billing begins at signup and renews automatically each month unless cancelled. Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR).
3. Access. Subscriber access is tied to the account used at signup and is intended for personal, individual use. Sharing of login credentials or subscriber-only content outside the subscription is not permitted.
4. Content schedule. We aim to publish new chapters and anthology stories on a regular schedule, but publication dates are not guaranteed and may vary. Subscription access is to the ongoing, growing collection, not to a fixed number of chapters, stories, or a fixed release date.
5. Content and audience. Story Club’s catalogue includes horror, dark fiction, and vampire fiction, with some stories containing romantic or sensual content. Some content may not be suitable for readers under 18. By subscribing, you confirm you are of legal age to access this content in your jurisdiction.
6. Changes to the service. We may update, expand, or otherwise change the content, pricing, or features of this subscription over time. Existing subscribers will be notified of any material changes affecting their subscription.
7. Contact. Questions about your subscription can be sent to edric@voodoochild.capetown.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing immediately, no further charges will be made after you cancel.

When you cancel, you retain access to subscriber content until the end of your current paid billing period. Access does not continue past that date.

There is no minimum commitment period and no cancellation fee.

Because this is a digital subscription providing immediate access to content upon payment, refunds are not offered by default once a billing period has started.

If you believe you were charged in error, such as a duplicate charge or a technical failure that prevented you from receiving access, please contact us at edric@voodoochild.capetown within 14 days of the charge. We will review the issue and provide a refund where appropriate.

Cancelling your subscription does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period already paid, but does stop all future charges as described above.
